‘Lucello’ is the name I use for performing solo (unaccompanied) cello for events. It was born when I was first asked to perform unaccompanied for a stakeholders meeting held on a boat on behalf of HSBC, for which other entertainment options were very limited due to the size of the venue.

11 years on, I have performed professional unaccompanied recitals at various venues across South Wales, as well as playing at weddings and events. My repertoire is varied and imaginative, ranging from the Bach cello suites, to arrangements I have crafted personally to fit different occasions. For example, arrangements featuring One Day Like This (Elbow), Fix you (Coldplay),  or the Game of Thrones Soundtrack for wedding entrances. I also play cello on behalf of art! For example, recently playing an improvised response to the pieces of art on show as part of Glynn Vivian Art Gallery’s exhibition on Kathe Kollwitz.
